Choice of Legends (Hybrid)… Mendocino Skunk, developed in collaboration with cannabis legend, Tommy Chong, is a well rounded hybrid combination of sativa and indica that both novice and pro growers will love. It’s a big yield plant that is easy to grow and delivers a delightful user experience.
Mendocino Skunk is inspired by a meeting of great cannabis traditions from California’s Emerald Triangle and Holland’s Amsterdam coffeeshop scene. Mendocino county sits on California’s north coast and its name has been associated with great cannabis since the 1960s. The perfect climate and a community knowledge base has made it a breeding ground for quality cannabis.
Lineage
This hybrid really is a celebration of heritage genetics with classic stinky Skunk at the heart of this great performing plant. It was in the 1970s that cannabis growers in Northern California took the plant to a new level of cultivation by crossing genetics from Asia and South America. In the 1980s the strain landed in Holland and stepped up another level as Skunk genetics were further refined.
For this exciting Tommy Chong’s™ collaboration project we chose to combine the essence of Mendocino with the best Dutch genetics from the Paradise Seeds vault and we are very pleased with the results. Mendocino Skunk has been one of our popular cannabis strains since we first released it.
Aromas and Flavours
In the grow room Mendocino Skunk cannabis seeds bring no surprises, with a powerful skunky aroma with notes of sweet fruit. Once the buds are dried the aroma is accompanied by a flavor which announces itself as sweet as cotton candy, although the terpene profile is more sophisticated than that with an underlying earthy spiciness. The dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Humulene and Ocimene.
Cultivation
Difficulty Level: Easy
Indoors: This plant is shorter and bushier than many varieties which makes it a good option for the beginner, although experienced growers will appreciate the ease of growth and pleasant all round qualities.
A good addition to the indoor grow setup, Mendocino Skunk is a stable plant that will grow to a medium size so a good option if your grow room space is limited. With a thick central cola, the side branches of this plant will provide good bud growth and the calyx-to-leaf ratio makes for a speedy trim job once harvest comes.
Outdoors: This plant will also thrive in outdoor grow spaces, providing a happy experience for growers in northern regions thanks to the Mendocino factor in the Skunk mix. In warmer, more Mediterranean climates, there is potential to boost optimum yield levels as this is a plant that will respond superbly in the sunshine.
Yield and Presentation
Mendocino Skunk buds swell to an impressive size and become engorged with resin production. Their sugar candy trichome coating and pink pistil coloring are stand out characteristics that will appeal to any cannabis grower.

Effect
Recreational: The effect, as you may expect from its hybrid nature, is well balanced and smooth. ‘Uplifting’ is a characteristic that has been used to describe Mendocino Skunk, with a positive euphoria and a sense of well being that will brighten up the day.

Mendocino Skunk cannabis seeds are suitable for growing outside between 50º n.L./ 50º s.L.Plants are ready to harvest in early October outdoors (n.L.) and between 7 – 8 weeks indoors. Estimated yield is 700 g per m² indoors / 1000g per plant outdoors.
